~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prepare beforehand for the day ahead in order to improve your self care. If you can, do your prep the night before. If you are more of a morning person, do you self care prep the first thing in the morning.
Regarding movement, activity, or fitness: put your clothes out the day before. This way you are a body in motion toward your fitness. The laws of Physics tell us - a body in motion stays in motion!
Regarding your healthy food choices: Try thinking about the delicious nutritious foods you intend to eat that day. Then put them (or a symbol for them) on a tray on the counter and one in the fridge. This way you can focus on your nutrition with minimal effort. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Intuitive eating: Eat when hungry, stop when satisfied, meet emotional needs without using food. Here are some ways to help yourself tune in to your intuitive eating: 1.) So you can be less ravenous and enjoy your dinner more, try eating a salad BEFORE dinner. 2.) So you can feel your self-care and enjoy shopping more, eat before you shop 3.) If you know you usually use eating to meet an emotional need like boredom, find something that interests you to do at night, instead of boredom eating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did you ever wish you had a response for a doctor, relative, waitress, or someone who makes a hurtful comment to you. Here is a way to be more prepared next time:
**In your mind, practice what you WOULD say if you were going to respond. Practice often. **Then when the situation arises you may find your response just pops out of your mouth. ** Even if you do not say anything and only THINK of your response, the hurtful comment will not sink in as much. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 self care topics: 1.) Emotional eating - Instead of eating something to feel better, try DOING something to make your LIFE better. 2.) Improve your cholesterol - eat: ** More soluble fiber ** More omega 3 fats ** Less saturated fats 3.) How to avoid the daily or weekly "mini yo-yo diet": ** Eat more nutritious foods during the day ... so you have fewer cravings at night. ** Eat more nutritious foods during the week ... to avoid weekend binges.
